Brand New from Prima!
When I hear the word “Prima,” I smile. I can’t help it – all I can think about is pretty flowers and paper. What scrapbooker wouldn’t smile at the thought of that?
My smile got even bigger when I received some of the products that Prima debuted at the recent Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) Winter Convention. The company, known officially as Prima Marketing Inc., has made a name for itself in the industry first and foremost for its one-of-a-kind paper flowers. In recent years, Prima has branched out and started designing paper collections and embellishments, including clear stamps and Say it in Crystals self-adhesive swirls. Let me just say that the results have been fabulous!
STYLE
These new papers and embellishments are just what I’ve come to expect from Prima: absolutely beautiful, frilly and — of course — flowery! I think these new products really show the impressive range that this company has been able to achieve. They run the gamut from fun and child-like (My Mommy and Me) to colorful and bold (Rebellious) and elegant and dreamy (Life in Colors and the new Mulberry Stitched Papers).
QUALITY
Prima Marketing Inc. is the real deal. I received two of their new Mulberry Stitched Papers along with some of their new flowers and other embellishments, and I was really happy with the quality of all of them. The paper is awesome to look at and work with — and quite a nice change, texture-wise, from the paper all of us usually work with. Plus, it’s perfect for people like me who refuse to actually use needle and thread (and/or a sewing machine) on their pages! The flowers look and feel like a million bucks; I often think Prima makes their flowers look and feel better than the real ones ever could! The Say it in Crystals (and Pearls) are much easier to work with than you might think; Prima’s new collage stamps are also made to please.
VERSATILITY
When I first looked at the Mulberry Stitched Paper called Arabesque, I wondered how I was ever going to find the picture (and the creativity) to do it justice. Luckily, I had an adorable picture of my new puppy, Sabre, within arm’s reach, and it seemed to work. The paper is so stunning that all it took to finish this layout were some new Prima flowers, cardstock, letters and a few other embellishments. I know the PrimaDonnas (you’ve got to love the name for Prima-endorsed teachers) would have come up with something way better, but I doubt any of them have a cuter puppy! 
A lot of papercrafters use Prima products to scrapbook their daughters and/or the other women in their life, romance and other flowery topics. I thought this paper would work well to scrapbook my beautiful puppy. The truth is, all of these new products can be used to scrapbook a variety of different things; you might be surprised at how versatile they really are.
COMPATIBILITY
I was really pleased with the amount of new items that Prima released at CHA; variety is the spice of life, right? The papers I got to work with coordinated beautifully with some of Prima’s new flowers, and I’m sure that holds true with the rest of this company’s new paper and embellishments.
BOTTOM LINE
I look forward to getting my hands on the rest of Prima’s new products, and — trust me — you should too. I bet once you see them, you too will smile every time you hear this company’s name.

What a RAVING review. I have a lot of Prima flowers and Donna’s latest cardboard kit but i have never had any of thier papers. I would soooooooo love to have that beautiful mulberry stitched paper. It is the right color for me too. Thanks foe the chance to win some of these goodies, ms.cheryl

I absolutely agree! I have loved Prima products since I first got my hands on them! My absolute favorite must have iten in my stash is the Say It In Crystals and I am UBER excited about the Say It In Pearls coming soon!!!!

I love everything prima. Its just so hard to get your hands on all their stuff. No LSS near me carry them. So winning some of their fabolous product sounds awesome.

I totally agree!! I am waiting with baited breath for the new Prima products to hit the shelves here! I thought they looked fantastic in the pictures I have seen and now I read this awesome review and I know that I just HAVE to have these gorgeous Prima products! Cant wait – bring on the shopping!!

LOVE all of Prima’s products! What I’d do to be a Prima DT FLower Girl! Think about all of those gorgeous products! Since that’s probably not happening, just having a chance to buy them or even win some in a few generous sites is sooo much worth it. Great review! Wish I could go to a CHA!!! I love all of Prima’s products too, especially their latest CHA collections of flowers, stitched mulberry paper, pearl swirls… Everything!
I love the style and versatility! I have used the Prima flowers and really loved using them, but it is nice to see the other beautiful products they have available. I’m looking forward to seeing the new products coming out soon.

Prima is one of the top companies that I always look out for when CHA comes around. They always have something (more like alot of things) that I have to get my hands on. They never disappoint!!

I absolutely love the vibrant colors and the flowers look just like (some) of the roses out there in my garden. Mind if I borrow your idea for the puppy layout? (btw, she is so adorable) I got a a boxer mix, 5 yr.-old female doggie, Toskita, and these colors suit her personality oh so well! thank you for the oportunity to win some of these amazing goodies. ;D
