Enchanting by Pink Paislee

When I was a little girl, I was all about pink. From my bedroom walls to the ribbon in my hair, everything was pink. Nowadays my favorite color is blue, except when it comes to a certain scrapbooking company. Thanks to Pink Paislee, I am all about pink again!

Pink Paislee has only been around since January 2008 but has quickly become one of my favorite scrapbooking companies. Ever since their debut, this company has come out with the most unique and beautiful collections that include stunning die-cut papers (a weakness of mine) and special embellishments. If you haven’t bought any pieces of Pop Fashion, Vintage Moon or Spring Fling, you don’t know what you’re missing!

Pink Paislee released a new collection called Winsome at the recent Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) Winter Convention, which includes 4 mini-collections: Enchanting, Captivating, Fascinating and Fetching. For this review I will be focusing on the Enchanting collection.

STYLE

When I get a package of new scrapbooking goodies in the mail, you’d think I had just received a ticket to paradise; it is always a very happy moment for me. When I opened up the box that contained Pink Paislee’s Enchanting Collection, I felt like I was opening up a box of fine china! Every embellishment and piece of paper was prettier, more unique and — sorry — more enchanting than the last. If you are one of those scrapbookers who especially enjoy products with enticing packaging (and really, don’t we all?), you will not be able to resist Winsome.

The Enchanting collection includes 5 12″x12″ patterned papers and 1 12″12 die-cut paper, along with a wide variety of embellishments including a sticker book, chipboard elements, flowers, brads, alphabet stickers (regular and chipboard) and rub-ons. This collection is one that puts the “pink” in Pink Paislee;  along with several shades of pink this line includes brown, green and cream. Designs include dots, lines, flowers and butterflies.

I think my favorite piece of this collection – besides the die-cut paper of course — is the box of chipboard elements. You won’t believe what’s in there — journal spots, flowers and even a little house! I just love it.

QUALITY

I have always found Pink Paislee products to be very high quality, and I would say the same about Enchanting. The papers and embellishments are top notch. I was especially impressed by the small sticker letters. Sometimes small sticker letters are so hard to handle that they tear before you can even lay them down and then they don’t stick well; these were quite easy to use and I was really happy with the result.

[I was also lucky enough to check out several Pink Paislee clear stamp sets -- Fancy Frames, Vintage Moon and Pop Fashion -- and I wanted to let you know that these are some of the best clear stamps I have ever used. And I have used PLENTY! :) The designs are great, and the stamped image is clean and crisp. I am going to have to keep these on my work table so I can use them all the time!]

VERSATILITY

The whole Enchanting collection is absolutely perfect for those of you with little girls/granddaughters/nieces, etc…; it has a very girlie, fairy tale feel to it.

However, I don’t have any children yet, so I used this collection to do a layout about me! More specifically, it is a layout about a very popular chain letter called “25 Things” that has been spreading like wildfire on Facebook . None of us scrapbook ourselves as much as we should, and I figured someday my children would like to read 25 random things about myself that I came up with on a day in January 2009! I know the topic is not very “princessy” or flowery, but I thought I could get away with it because of the picture I chose to use. I had the best time creating this layout and working with these sweet products!

My point is, don’t pass on this collection, even  if you don’t have a little girl to scrapbook. This is such a timeless, beautiful line that can be used to scrapbook so many things, including yourself. It’s also worth noting that the Fetching collection is geared towards boys, but again could be used for other topics as well. Thanks for giving us options Pink Paislee!

BOTTOM LINE

That being said, I really only see one option here: BUY THIS COLLECTION! :) You won’t regret it. I’m sure you’ll have as much fun with it as I did — maybe even more.

Enchanting and other Pink Paislee products are available from Two Peas in a Bucket. Prices range from $.68 for select papers to $5.50 for the chipboard elements.

For fun and inspiration, be sure to check out their website, one of my favorites. Pink Paislee even has their own interactive community which I joined after reviewing these fabulous products. Check them both out, along with their blog.
