Jenni Bowlin Studio: The Farmer’s Wife and So Much More!

Let me start out by saying that I am not a farmer’s wife. Neither — to my knowledge — is Jenni Bowlin. Yet she and I definitely have one thing in common: we both love her new collection, which is called The Farmer’s Wife, and the other assorted goodies she debuted at CHA!

It’s probably not a surprise that I (like so many other scrapbookers) am a fan of Jenni Bowlin products. Anyone who’s read any of my reviews knows that I love die-cut paper, and she certainly is one of the pioneers in that field! That’s only one aspect of her work that I enjoy though; she also has a knack for coming up with the freshest designs and concepts for new products.

STYLE

The Farmer’s Wife Collection is no exception. This line of 6 12″x12″ patterned papers, 1 label die-cut paper4″x4″ mini paper set and journaling cards is distinctly Jenni Bowlin, yet new and different from her previous work. Yes, a couple pieces do directly relate to rural matters (like cows), but basically it’s just a fun line with a bit of a vintage/old-fashioned flavor. Where else can you find a collection consisting of flowers, cherries, stars and flour labels? Delish!

Jenni’s new embellishments are equally enchanting. We’re talking chipboard buttons with designs ranging from polka dots to milk caps; rhinestone button cards and self-adhesive pearl flowers, both in 6 different colors; label strip stickers; alphabet stickers; and mini-alphabet rub-ons. I love them all, but I was especially excited about the very cute and practical cardstock alphabet stickers; because they come in 12×12 sheets, it will be a while before I run out of letters!

QUALITY

I was very pleased with the quality of these new products. The paper and journaling cards are just what I’ve come to expect from this company, and the rub-ons are some of the best out there; they go on so easily you almost don’t have to do any work!

VERSATILITY

I’m originally from New York City, and though I am an Upstate Girl now, I’m still far from a Rural Girl. So I was kind of worried that I wouldn’t fall in love with The Farmer’s Wife collection when I first heard the name. Of course I was WRONG! You too will be surprised at how versatile these products are.

I quickly realized they were perfect for scrapbooking my feelings about the recent sale of our house and our upcoming move. The cherries helped inspire the “Bittersweet” title — and I thought the papers and journaling cards worked really well with the look of our house and my journaling. Plus I got to incorporate some alphabet stickers, chipboard buttons and pearl flowers in here as well!

COMPATIBILITY

Between the paper, the journaling cards and the great variety of new embellishments, it is easier than ever to put together a layout using Jenni Bowlin Studio products. And if mini albums are your thing, her mini papers will make them come together in half the time. They inspired me to make this mini album about my New Year’s Resolutions — maybe they will help me actually fulfill them! What more could you ask for? This is the 1st time I’ve been to this site and I have to admit I enjoyed the bloggish yet Review style of the “review”. I’ve been scrapbooking for many many years but I don’t know the designers by name. However I liked all of the above items as well as examples that you made. I will definetly be back to this site.
