Traveler by Little Yellow Bicycle

I LOVE to travel. And – as you are well aware from reading my review of the stunning Zinnia collection – I LOVE Little Yellow Bicycle. So as soon as I saw that LYB was coming out with a travel collection I was excited — and that excitement only grew when I opened a package full of the new Fresh Print Traveler Collection!

This hot line — so new it’s not even available in stores yet — is the first travel collection from Little Yellow Bicycle, and I’m pleased to announce that this company has outdone itself yet again!

STYLE

Traveler includes 9 12″x12″ double-sided patterned papers, 1 (12 sheet) 12″x12 coordinating paper pack, 3 12″x12″ specialty papers and 1 piece each of 12″x12″ decorative-edged paper (a road sign) and lace-cut cardstock. And it doesn’t stop there! You’ll also find a wide array of embellishments including alphabet stickers, chipboard stickers, clear shapes and frames, a journal tablet, rub-ons, brads and ribbon.

With this collection, Little Yellow Bicycle also continues what I believe to be a brilliant idea that they first implemented with the Love Letters collection – paper pads that fit their chipboard albums, no cutting or sanding required. Who can resist that?

QUALITY

I have always been impressed with the quality of Little Yellow Bicycle products, and Traveler is no exception. From the paper to the stickers, it’s all top notch.

VERSATILITY

Traveler is geared towards domestic travel — on the rise during these tough economic times when traveling far can often break the bank. (This is a trend that Making Memories has also picked up on with its Great Escape collection.) The colors are a mix of contemporary and vintage – several hues of blue (which just happens to be my favorite color), along with orange, green and cream.

One of the things I love about this collection, though, is the fact that much of it can be used to scrapbook pretty much anything. I didn’t have any recent trips to scrapbook, so I actually used some of the paper and embellishments to make this page about our search for a new home. I really enjoyed working with all the goodies – I especially love the clear arrow-shaped film strip! And thanks to the pack of coordinating solid paper, the only things on this page that aren’t by LYB are the white cardstock and stickers!

Don’t get me wrong though – this collection is absolutely perfect for whatever trip you are taking and/or scrapbooking. However, it’s very versatile – so don’t overlook it for a non-travel related project as well.

COMPATIBILITY

One of my favorite things about Little Yellow Bicycle is the vast amount of different products they release in each collection, and they certainly didn’t disappoint me with Traveler! I usually try to resist buying every little thing that comes out as part of a line, but I don’t see how anyone can resist this stuff! Having some (or all) of it on hand can really help you put together a layout or even an entire album in a snap. And really, who can’t use some extra time?

BOTTOM LINE

In case you can’t tell, I really enjoyed working with all the fun, innovative and inspiring goodies in the Traveler collection — and I know you will too. So I highly encourage you to get your hands on this stuff as soon as you can!

Traveler will be available in June from Two Peas in a Bucket. For more information on Traveler and the other hot new collections from Little Yellow Bicycle, check out their website. Oh, and you will love what the biker chicks (yep, that’s the name of the LYB Design Team!) have done with this line; you’ll find plenty of ideas and inspiration on their gallery page.

Thanks for the review! I really like this line because it looks very versatile and not so theme-y. I love the colors and can see using it with so many different photos.
